Rachel
I’m Rachel, a lifelong sailor. Being on the water makes me happy. I have sailed since I was six weeks old (apparently). I grew up cruising the south coast of UK, northern France, the Channel Islands, Belgium and the Netherlands. I’ve raced for many years (skipper and crew), was Commodore of my work sailing club and briefly skippered professionally. I’m loving the switch back to more cruising!

I have sailed off and on since first heading out in an Optimist at Bewl Valley sailing club when I was 6 years old. Family sailing holidays in my teens and then racing in the Solent (inshore and offshore) in my twenties helped lay the foundations for the lifelong dream of sailing around the world. Marrying Rach, with a similar dream, helped make the dream a reality!
Ægle
Our fabulous boat, Ægle. She was built in 2004, launched in 2008 and we are the third owners after another Rob and then William and Arne. We have owned Ægle since 2020 spending 2021 in the West Country (UK) and 2022 in Scotland (this pic!). Ægle has a travelling pedigree having been far and wide before we came on the scene … we are now headed south together for more adventures
